Cutting for Stone: Frankly, Marilyn is appalled. After the misery of June, we get a good book for July but have a pathetically low turnout. Marilyn is also embarrassed. Embarrassed because she was one of the culprits. Was it the glorious British summer again, keeping us safely inside, away from the rain and ready to curl up by the fire rather than traipse out to Wimbledon for a knees-up at The Alex? Without resorting to another online poll that would most likely be hijacked by Jack, the answer to that question will probably remain a mystery.
